Grantham Creates C.I.C is an artist and disability led, voluntary organisation whose primary objective is to carry out activities that benefit the wider community of Grantham and surrounding areas by providing a creative hub, activities and art gallery. Through this we are able to foster support for individuals and groups, with particular focus (but not limited to) adults who are neurodivergent, suffer mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety and the long-term unemployed.
Grantham Creates C.I.C has already secured a strong core of volunteer directors, administrators and creative practitioners covering art forms as diverse as printmaking, painting, collage, automata and textiles. Experienced, committed and enthusiastic this growing team of volunteers means we are able to work with people from the local communities not just to deliver creative activities but provide a wide range of opportunities participation, training, exhibition, and hopefully future employment in the creative industries.
Union Street has a combination of good quality and affordable exhibition, retail and workshop spaces to hire and for Grantham Creates C.I.C to programme, including a dedicated community exhibition space for non-professional and emerging local artists. The space includes a dedicated community table which can be booked by small community groups for free to use in creative activities. It is also available to individuals to come in, sit and work on projects or utilise our donated arts materials.
Please contact us at unionstreetgalleryuk@gmail.com if you have any questions that were not covered here.
Union Street Gallery Hub was founded in October 2024, and after a month of renovations we were ready to open in December that same year. Since then we've been hard at work in our mission to elevate the local community and share local art with the world.
Currently all of the artwork for sale is only available for purchase in the gallery itself so, if your interested, come on down and have a chat with us in person. We'd love to see you!
Easy! Come see us, and grab a volunteer application form. We're always eager for volunteers from the community.
