Donna Drouin is a printmaker, poet and painter whose work stems from an almost daily “plein air” practice. Using inks, watercolours, pencils and found natural media she records her impressions of the threshold between wild and domesticated places and how they bare the marks of human existence.
In her work she pushes, pulls and manipulates her impressions, marks and words through the processes of collage, printmaking and painting to create bodies of work that often include repeating motifs, such as bold abstracted bird forms containing and overlooking the topographies that they inhabit.
Donna also has a regular programme of workshops here at the Gallery including Print Making for Teens and Adults and other art and making based projects. See the workshops page for more details.
